Patients and Visitors
Patients
We are employed to give our patients the best possible care and treatment. We hope to make your stay with us, either as an in-patient or if you are visiting the out-patients department, as comfortable and stress-free as possible and in this regard you will find helpful and user-friendly information in this section of our site. You will also find advise and information on our discharge procedure.
You will get information on the Emergency Department should you have a need to visit. We would like to stress that where possible your GP should be contacted in the first instance regarding your illness or injury before you arrange to come to the Emergency Department at University Hospital Galway.
This section of our website aims to help you to understand the workings of our hospitals and to give you information on the procedures to be followed in the different areas.
It will also help you to recognise the different personnel you may meet and give you a list of the medical consultants and their specialities.
Here you can also get information on visiting and the parking facilities at each hospital.
