Welcome to the GUH Communications Section. Here you will find the contact details for the HSE West Communications Unit which manages all media relations for the western region including Galway University Hospitals.

 

The HSE's National Communications Unit (NCU) provides a comprehensive communications service to the HSE. The NCU manages media relations, internal, public and corporate communications to the public, to media, to government and to HSE staff.

 

 

Regional Health Issues and GUH

 

No patient information can be disclosed without consent from the patient or relatives. Requests from the media for details of the condition of patients after Road Traffic Accidents should be referred to the HSE West Communications Department below.

 

Requests for filming at the Galway University Hospitals will be accommodated where possible. Proposals for filming should be referred to the HSE West Communications Department below. 

 

The HSE records details for all hospitals, including the Galway University Hospitals, of how long and how many patients have been waiting for admission to a hospital ward from the time they have been referred by the Emergency Department team, please click on the following link: http://www.hse.ie/eng/ed
